The short version

This page explains what arkcounseling.org collects when you visit it, and what happens to that information. We do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers or lead brokers. We use Google Analytics to see which pages people find useful, and it sets cookies on your device. There are no advertising pixels, no session recording tools, and nothing here is used to target ads to you.
What this site collects
Information you type into a form
There are two web forms here, and they are the only places you can hand us information directly.
- The consultation request form collects your first name, last name, email address, an optional phone number, and anything you write in the message field.
- The coverage question form collects your first name, last name, email address, an optional phone number, and an optional note. It does not collect insurance policy numbers or member IDs, and you should not send them.
Both are delivered by Web3Forms, an outside form service, which relays what you send to support@arkcounseling.org. Email is not encrypted end to end, and this website is not a secure medical channel. Please keep what you write general. Do not send diagnoses, medication lists, treatment history, legal matters, or anything else you would not want read in an ordinary email inbox.
Information collected automatically
Our host keeps standard server logs: the IP address making the request, the date and time, the page requested, any referring page, the browser and operating system your device reports, and the response code. These exist to keep the site online, fix errors, and defend against abusive traffic. This site is hosted by Vercel, and any aggregate traffic counts our host reports to us come from those logs.
Requests your browser makes to other companies
A page can pass information to a third party without you filling anything out, so here is what happens on ours.
- Google Analytics. Every page loads Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-TBYCN2QWFP) from googletagmanager.com. It records the pages you view, roughly where you are in the world, your device and browser, how you arrived, and how long you stay, and it stores a randomly generated ID in a cookie so return visits are counted as the same visitor rather than a new one. It does not receive your name or email unless you type them into a form, which is handled separately below. You can opt out for every site you visit with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or block it with any tracker blocker.
- Google Fonts. Every page loads typefaces from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. That request tells Google your IP address, your browser and device details, and that a page on this domain was opened.
- Google Maps. The homepage embeds a Google map. Loading or interacting with it sends your IP address and browser details to Google and may set Google cookies.
- Web3Forms and hCaptcha. When you submit a form, its contents pass through Web3Forms to reach us, and hCaptcha receives anti-abuse signals from your browser to screen out bots.
What those companies do with that information is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one. A content blocker will stop those requests if you prefer. You would lose the fonts and the map, and the forms would stop working.
How long we keep it
Form submissions stay in the receiving inbox until they are no longer needed to answer you, and can be deleted sooner on request. Server logs roll off on our host's normal schedule. We do not combine your form submission with your Google Analytics activity, and we do not build advertising profiles or buy data about you from anywhere else. Analytics data is retained on Google's side under our property settings and is used only in aggregate.
Your choices
- Do not submit anything. You can read every page on this site without giving us your name.
- Ask us to delete what you sent. Email support@arkcounseling.org and we will remove it from the inbox.
- Turn off analytics, or block the third parties. Google's opt-out add-on stops Analytics everywhere, and any tracker blocker or strict privacy setting will prevent the analytics, font, map, and form requests described above.
Children
This site is not directed at children, and the forms are not intended for anyone under 18 to submit on their own. If a minor has sent us information, email support@arkcounseling.org and we will delete it.
Changes to this page
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
How to reach us
Privacy questions go to support@arkcounseling.org, or through our contact form. That email address and that form are the only ways to reach us. There is no published phone number or mailing address for this website.
